911 is an immensely entertaining new show that had its debut on Wednesday night. This is a timely show since the horrific practice of  “Swatting” has been in the news (see link below). The superlative cast headed by Connie Britton is a thrill ride. I love the back story of the characters which helps avoid the cliché ridden procedural type plots that this type of series gets trapped by. You will love Peter Krause and Angela Bassett. Ryan Murphy created the series so be warned that there will be some over the top scenes that may try believability. Normally the pilot grabs you and doesn’t necessarily mean that subsequent episode will be at this level. During this slow television period it is worth checking out.
