All The Money in the World

It’s hard to watch this film without thinking about the last minute replacement of Kevin Spacey with Christopher Plummer.  Plummer is fine as J.Paul Getty.  The director Ridley Scott does an o.k. job trying to reinvent the tiresome kidnap plot. Despite some going in and out of her accent Michelle Williams again proves she is an actress of great depth and  she powerfully explores vulnerabilities. There is a metallic feel to the film. A few moments of suspense keeps the viewer interested. Ultimately you leave the theater non-plussed.
