The Hostiles is the kind of western for audiences that don’t like westerns. Christian Bale reaches new heights as Joseph Blocker a captain in the U.S. Cavalry. He has been assigned to take a dying Indian chief prisoner back to his ancestral Montana homeland. The supporting cast headed by Rosamund Pike from Gone Girl are impeccable. Gorgeously photographed and meticulously paced this is film that you will relish.
